How long will the dry out take?
It will usually take anywhere between 2 and 5 days for us to dryout a structure. In severe cases the dryout process could last 7 days. So the quicker we can get in the faster your job will be completed. If you think you want to turn off our equipment at night you should reconsider because you will be inviting mold growth. So, the equipment really needs to keep running until the dryout process is complete.
Once you call us in there is very little for you to do except for the normal tasks involved in rebuilding if you decide to have us rebuild and/or repair the damage. You will select things like color, doors, flooring….things if you were just remodeling and not repairing from flood damage.
Remember we are drying out a water soaked structure. All the building materials have soaked up water so it is our goal to get the humidity down in your whole house. This will not harm anything short of maybe having to keep your plants and animals well watered!
The dryout process is designed to keep your construction costs down, however, there are many variables involved in drying out. For instance sometimes wood flooring just cannot be dried out and you need actual hardwood floor repair. Repairing wood takes the project in a different direction….. all of which we are equipped to handle.
